Down with O-P-P...

I realize I'm showing my age by the fact that I've actually heard the old song "Down with O-P-P"...but if you live in the little town of Opp, AL how could you resist a song that spells your town's name?!

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not much of a navigator. So, with GPS programmed to 101 Parish Ave., Opp, AL - I struck out. T&C Pharmacy / TJ's fabric here I come. You have to be a small towner to appreciate a Radio Shack + Pharmacy + Fabric Store all under one roof! A little hesitant about what was to come, but...WOW!!



TJ's Fabric gets a big THUMBS UP from Turkey Tale Designs. Even the "big city" stores don't compare in my opinion. 1000+ bolts of unique patterns and prints. Once I lifted my chin off the floor and came to the realization that I couldn't have them all, here's what I came away with.





Two patterns from each of these sets, a royal blue/white gingham, and a few spools of thread. I also picked up a cute trio from Andaluisa Sewing Center (2 ginghams and a brown) that are going to look awesome for lots of our boy designs.

I chatted with the ladies at TJ's fabrics, picked up a couple of very helpful hooping hints (thank you!), then headed home. My new fabrics are already at work - 3 burp cloths for a baby boy gift and a Halloween outfit for Mary Katherine. A couple of finishing touches still to go, so stay posted for pictures!!
